Seeking help to navigate life's challenges can feel like a daunting step, and the uncertainty of what you will find in therapy can be a real barrier between you and the change that you want. Healing often requires a safe place free from judgement. I offer a supportive and collaborative environment for both couples and individuals where you can be heard. It's easy to get stuck in repetitive cycles and feel like there is no way out. Whether you're in a relationship that feels unstable and filled with conflict, you're under the weight of grief or trauma, or you feel trapped by anxiety / depression and unable to move, there is a path forward for you. I believe that everyone possesses the capacity and strength for change. We can find yours together.
"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new."

I live, work and play in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville . I love the outdoors and the fresh perspective that it always seems to bring me. I have a family with three kids and spend as much time as I can experiencing life through them and soaking up their youth.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have practiced in clinical settings, schools, homes and the great outdoors. I have experience in family, couple and individual therapy and have also worked directly with adolescents. My approach is heavily influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Internal Family Systems Model. For you, this means a collaborative experience where we explore your story together and uncover the strengths and capabilities that you already have to help you come into better relationship with your internal and external worlds. I love this process and consider it a privilege to take part in your journey.
In addition to my therapy practice, I also worked for over a decade in commercial construction management. I experienced firsthand the unforgiving, competitive environment that tells us to inflate our strength and hide our weakness and the toll this takes on relationships and personal wellbeing. I understand the skepticism and hesitation to seeking help and the need to be self-sustaining and independent. I have also seen the freedom and transformation that can be experienced by letting go of this mentality and embracing support.
